Department: Finance team

Location: Paris, France

Contract: Permanent, local and full-time

Starting date: ASAP 2026

PUR Description

PUR is a global, impact-focused B-Corp specializing in the development of environmental restoration projects, known as 'nature-based solutions' (NbS). Since 2008, we have been helping the world’s largest organizations meet their ESG targets, reduce their environmental footprint, and regenerate the ecosystems they depend on across complex supply chains. Having developed over 45 projects in more than 30 countries, PUR is recognized as both a pioneer and leader in a sector that is now at the forefront of global efforts to address the ongoing climate and biodiversity crisis.

At the heart of our mission is a commitment to fostering and operationalizing insetting strategies; interventions by companies within their own value chains designed to reduce GHG emissions while creating positive impacts for communities, landscapes, and ecosystems. By championing this insetting approach, we aim to create a holistic range of benefits that extend beyond ecological restoration, encompassing social and economic dimensions through enhanced agricultural yields and resilience to climate change-induced stresses, among others.

One of the distinctive features of our work is our ability to tailor projects to the specific needs of different regions and communities. By recognizing the unique characteristics of each ecosystem and the cultural context of the communities involved, we ensure our initiatives are contextually relevant and have a meaningful and sustainable impact. All our projects are developed in close collaboration with local actors, including cooperatives, NGOs, governments, and corporations. Today, we employ 200 staff across 16 countries with key offices in Paris (HQ) and Toronto.

PUR operates within the dynamic and rapidly evolving sector of environmental consultancy services and nature-based solutions markets. These markets are closely linked with the voluntary carbon markets (VCM) when NbS projects produce carbon credits that can be traded on the VCM. The NbS market has recently gained traction as society recognizes the invaluable services provided by nature and the need to preserve, restore, and harness these services to mitigate and adapt to environmental challenges. To be considered a nature-based solution, projects must effectively address real societal challenges and offer strong environmental, economic, and social benefits for local communities.

About the role

You will be part of the Finance team and support the structuring of investments in nature-based solutions (across carbon, agroforestry, regenerative agriculture, mangrove projects etc). You will work closely with the Commercial, Technical, and Operations teams to translate field-level opportunities into robust, bankable investment cases. This role combines financial modelling, investment analysis, and investor engagement with the preparation of clear, investor-ready materials to bring projects from concept to financing.

The position offers exposure to multiple geographies and project types with a focus on large-scale nature-based solution (NbS) projects. These projects typically involve long-term corporate offtake agreements and partnerships with institutional investors and may also integrate public or blended finance where relevant to enhance scalability and impact.

Your responsibilities will be, but not limited to:

  • Support the origination, analysis, and structuring of NbS investment opportunities across multiple regions.

  • Build and maintain financial models, track investment performance, and monitor project-level valuation over time.

  • Reassess project assumptions, risks, and performance regularly, ensuring alignment with investment strategy and field realities.

  • Prepare and deliver investment materials (pitch decks, investment notes, portfolio updates) for internal meetings and external investors.

  • Contribute to investor engagement, including identifying and approaching relevant investors (conferences, networks, direct outreach).

  • Present investment opportunities to investors, both independently and alongside relevant team members.

  • Support the due diligence process, coordinating with teams when projects move forward.

  • Accompany the commercial team through the full investment process, up to negotiation and closing.

  • Work closely with Business Developers to align investor needs with project pipeline and structure tailored financing solutions.

  • Contribute to the structure and implementation of new investment vehicles and funds.

  • Prepare regular portfolio reporting and investor updates.

Job requirements

We are looking for someone with:

  • 5+ years of experience in investment, finance, or project structuring (investment banking, private equity, impact investing, or similar).

  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with experience in real assets, project finance, or fund monitoring.

  • Ability to understand and articulate both financial and impact dimensions of investments (carbon, biodiversity, social impact...).

  • Comfortable presenting and pitching investment opportunities to investors.

  • Ability to work across multiple geographies and stakeholders, including project developers and technical experts.

  • Structured, rigorous, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams.

  • Fluency in English is mandatory. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. French is a plus.

  • Proactive and autonomous, with an entrepreneurial mindset and ability to source opportunities and engage investors.

At PUR, we strive to build inclusive teams and an equitable workplace where our employees feel respected, supported, and empowered. As a global company operating across six continents, we recognize that diversity in the workplace is essential to achieving our mission.
